ADAM AJ MASON

Adam Mason graduated from the London International Film School in 1999. Since then he has directed more than 300 music videos, 10 feature films and numerous commercials. The independent films he directed and co-wrote include ‘Broken’ (distributed through Miramax), ‘The Devil’s Chair’ (distributed through Sony, premiered Midnight Madness, Toronto), ‘Blood River’ (Sitges 2009), ‘Pig’ (SXSW 2017) & ‘Hangman’ (premiered SXSW 2015).
In 2019 he directed two movies for Blumhouse/Hulu - I’m Just Fucking With You’ and ‘They Come Knocking’. ‘I’m Just Fucking With You’ premiered at SXSW in March 2019. In 2019, he also directed 12 cutting edge music videos for the band Alice In Chains, which double up as ‘Black Antenna’, a sci-fi feature film.
In 2021 he completed Songbird for producer Michael Bay and STX films, and in 2023 he completed BABY BLUE, for XYZ Films and Microdose.
Adam and his writing partner Simon Boyes have written and sold countless screenplays for, amongst others, Paramount, Relativity, Universal, Skydance and Lionsgate. The original scripts they have had produced include Universal and Blumhouse’s ‘Not Safe For Work’ directed by Joe Johnston (Captain America, Jurassic Park 3), and ‘Misconduct’ for Lionsgate, starring Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhmel and Malin Ackerman.
